What, you gotta problem with warping the space-time continuum?

I do admit that my snipe meal was pretty over-the-top. It was our first snipe extravaganza (if 4 snipe can be called such), and I wanted it to be memorable.

For the love of God keep shooting and eating woodcock! Roast them simply and serve with Cumberland sauce; I have a recipe on my site.

The two breeders I know of in the very northeast are Patricia Folz of Szikra Vizslas (SzikraVizslasATaolDOTcom) and Chris + Wendy Russell at Widdershins. If you go to the sidebar on this blog, you'll see a link to their website with their contact info on it. I don't know the Folz's well, but they have produced some very nice, sucessful conformation dogs. Chris + Wendy are maybe an hour from you up in Dover-Foxcroft -- and if you're looking for a well-tempered, well-socialized dog that can also hunt (if that's what you want), I would tell you to start and finish with them. I also know their bitch Seeker has just been bred to a fantastic Dual Champion dog, Octane.

The moose: WOW what a shot. I think my obsession with buffalo and koi would move over if I were in moose country. (as opposed to wild turkey country, which is merely annoying)

The dogs: Great pic. The first thought that came to mind, seeing the expression on their faces, was: We're Special Ops. Reporting and Ready. We're going in.

we use events to maker all sorts of things. that day was full of personal loss for me and my family, as we lived and worked there. we nearly lost my daughter's father. there were 28 funerals in the coming weeks. BUT it also marked a recovery of sorts from a dark period, so, like you, I found a beginning.

I know exactly what I was doing that day. I had just taken the Idaho bar and we were scheduled to learn the scores that day. I was nervous that evening and could not sleep so I turned on the TV and saw the flaming footage. I found out that I passed the bar later that day, but the thrill of success was tainted by the tremendous loss in NYC.

You are correct; the grounds are owned by the Flanagan family of Norwich. Dr. Tom Flanagan and his son Peter are stalwarts in American Field field trials and their Grouse Ridge Setters have been one of the most successful field trial lines for the past 50 years. Besides all that they are just plain wonderful people.
